ECOWOMN SERIES
I took over our ecowomn series starting "REDUCING BYO". In this series we highlighted different ways to become a more eco conscious and sustainable woman. I brainstormed/researched new ideas and information for each week that I had scheduled an ecowomn. When I wrote the copy I tried to have a voice that wasn't assertive or preachy and more easy to understand/casual since sometimes topics like these can make people feel overwhelmed. I also chose images that not only fit the text but that also felt appropriate for the mood of the brand. We made sure to include that no one is perfect on their journey to become more eco conscious and that even just small steps and changes can do a lot.
WOMEN RELATED HOLIDAYS
For International Women's Day 2020 I used fabric scraps to make the word "womn's" which was a play on words because of the brand name but also represented that we were an eco conscious clothing company. If we were a company for women, of course we had to celebrate all the beautiful women in the world! For Mother's Day 2020, we were early on in the Covid 19 Pandemic Shelter at Home, so I had the team send me pictures of themselves with their mothers to create something more personal for our audience. It was our way of connecting to our womn community.  To create engagement we asked our followers to share memories with us of their mothers/mother figures as well as uplift those who couldn't be physically with their parents.
STAY AT HOME SERIES
At the beginning of the Shelter At Home, I had the team be a part of a series where we highlighted each person and what they were doing at home whether it be for the mind or body. Each team member would take over the womn instagram for the day sharing things such as cooking, exercise, photography, games and more. They would also answer questions from our followers. This provided a way to be one the same level as our customers and be a brand that was more personable and engaging. We also wanted it to be a way to share resources as well as encourage people to stay home, social distance, wear masks, and protect one another. You can see these stories on instagram @shopwomn.
